Blood Oranges are grown mostly in the Mediterranean, they are so named for their dramatic colour their flesh.

The skin is usually a flushed reddish-orange and the flesh can vary from a reddish-gold to an intense ruby red. Blood oranges have an intense flavour, making them good for dessert.
