They have been growing in number since Common Ground held the first event in Covent Garden in 1990 to raise awareness of the threats to UK orchards and their diverse fruits. Apple Days now come in all shapes and sizes, from small village events to gatherings of thousands. National Apple Day is October 21st or 25th.
